You3Dit is a marketplace that connects hardware innovators with professional mechanical designers and fabricators on demand. Post your project — from a rough napkin sketch to a finished CAD file — and we'll match you with the right expert to bring it to life.
Do I need a CAD file to get started?
No. You can post a project with just a description or a rough sketch. Our designers will work with you to create the CAD files needed for fabrication. If you already have a CAD file, you can skip straight to getting fabrication quotes.
How long does it take to get a prototype made?
For 3D printing and rapid fabrication with an existing CAD file, parts can be in your hands in as little as 48 hours. For projects that start from a sketch and require design work, our designers typically turn around initial concepts within days, not weeks.
How are parts delivered to me?
You3Dit supports multiple delivery methods depending on your location and the fabricator: local hand-off for nearby fabricators, courier or Uber-style local delivery, and traditional carrier shipping (UPS, FedEx, USPS). You and your fabricator choose what works best — we handle the coordination.
How much does it cost to get a prototype made?
Cost depends on complexity, materials, and process. You can get an instant quote by uploading your CAD file, or post a project and receive competitive quotes from our network of designers and fabricators. There is no cost to post a project.
